Art Camp – at home!

ART CAMP HAS NOW FINISHED FOR 2020

Join us for a wonder-filled summer of art, craft and creativity... for free!

Now is normally the time we would be gearing up for our real life Art Camp here in North Devon; buying supplies, deciding themes, meticulously planning the activities, and taking bookings… sadly, this year it is not to be, due – of course – to Covid-19. But, parents, do not despair, we are still here for you this summer. We will be taking you and your children on a wonder-filled six week voyage of art, craft and creativity! Art Camp is going online, and what’s even better is, its FREE! Yep, that’s right. Free, and available to everyone!

Like our real life Art Camps, Art Camp – at home is most suited to children between the ages of 4-12, BUT, in reality, a lot of the activities are suitable for EVERYONE of any age!

How will it work?

Just like our real life art camp, each week will have a theme, but instead of just one day a week, we will provide enough activities to enjoy art every day! This will come in the form of weekly posts here on our website, which will share everything you need to know.

You can sign up to Art Camp here – why sign up?  Anyone can access the posts with all the Art Camp activities in, but signing up by email means you will get a couple of emails each week to give you some motivation, and to remind you where to find the activities for the week. It also gives you a direct line to us, for support, advice, feedback or just showing off your little one’s creations! You will also be invited to join our Facebook group, where I will post reminders, a few extra resources, and share our own Art Camp journey at our own home. You are encouraged to share your or your children’s work there too! It’s a great little community.

PLUS, if you sign up, you will have the opportunity to let me know about your child’s specific interests, and therefore I can provide tailor made resources for your child!

So sign up now, for free, for a summer filled with art, creativity and wonder!

Our Summer Topics

Each week will have a different topic to inspire our art making. Within each topic we will share activities across fine art, printmaking, crafts, creative writing, sculpture, photography, and more…

In addition, I will share some extra resources such as short films, books, poems, or animations that will enrich the topics.

  • Week 1 – Animal Adventures
  • Week 2 – The Best Version of Myself
  • Week 3 – Amazing Oceans
  • Week 4 – Creative Kindness
  • Week 5 – In the Garden
  • Week 6 – Up Above Us

Because this is a free resource, you have no obligation to join in with all of it, you can dip in and out of it as you please. It will also stay live after the summer holidays, so you will be able to drop back on a quiet weekend and revisit any of the ideas.

You Are Not Alone

Lockdown has shown us so many ways to stay connected to other people even when we can see them and socialise in the same ways that we are used to. We, personally, have found email support, and our Facebook group to be fantastic ways to connect to other parents, creatives, teachers, and for children to share what they have been up to, via their caregivers!

We don’t want you to feel alone on your voyage through Art Camp, and we understand fully that you may find it tricky to teach art activities, cope with mess, or offer constructive feedback… we are here for you, and you are not alone!

You can email us, or post in our Facebook group,  at any time, and we will do our absolute best to support you, find solutions, offer feedback, find extra activities and resources for you, celebrate amazing achievements, or just be an ear (or eyes) for you.

We are so  excited to have you join us in our Art Camp adventures – scroll back up the page a bit to sign up! 🙂
