Artist Bio:
Maria Resende is a visual artist from Portugal. She was born in Mozambique and has a BA Arts degree (Witwatersrand University, South Africa). She was a lecturer at Eduardo Mondlane University, Mozambique for several years before going to Portugal where she became an entrepreneur. She has been exhibiting her art in many countries of the world (Spain, France, Italy, Germany, Brazil, Argentina, USA, etc.) and is an “ambassador of art” in the European Art Museum, Copenhagen, Denmark.
In 2019, she was awarded the Giotto International Prize.
