This work was part of my graduate thesis research, wherein I journeyed through areas of wilderness in search of naturally occurring expressions that paralleled my experience after losing a dearly loved one. Images from this body of work explore nature-based equivalents of hope, grief, fear and aliveness – essences that all people both crave and require in the process of moving through profound grief.
